FontExplorer - Connecting to font server, VM-Armor

The following instructions are for those that are trying to get their allotted fonts from the FontExplorer font server, VM-Armor

Step-by-step guide

Connecting to font server, VM-ARMOR, within the FontExplorer X Pro application

1. Within FontExplorer, proceed to the menubar and select Server and select Manually Connect from the dropdown.

2. A small window will dropdown on the inset of the current window. In the field where it says Hostname/IP:, enter the following server name of the font server:

vm-armor.corp.pmc.com

After entering the hostname, click the Connect button.

3. After clicking on Connect, and the FontExplorer application has successfully established a connection with the font server, you will see a globe icon with the word VM-AMOR. Click on the globe icon and on the right of the window, if you haven’t already, enter your network credentials (same credentials used to log into your computer) to download your fonts.

In the event that the fonts are still not appearing in your articles/layouts after establishing connection with the font server, please ensure that they are active in FontExplorer by have a checkmark in the box next to the font sets under VM-AMOR on the left –hand column.

Note: Whether your computer is connected to the font server or not, your computer should still have access to fonts deployed from the font server.
